Electrician in CBD, Alice Springs

Alice Springs didn't really grow as a town until the 1930s, so even in the CBD there are only a handful of genuinely early buildings. Most of what's standing today, including around Todd Mall, has been built, rebuilt or re-fitted many times since. In practice that means CBD switchboards are some of the most mixed in town: a decades-old commercial board behind one shopfront, a switchboard from last year's fit-out two doors down.

Commercial premises in the CBD also carry different obligations to a house. Safety switches on the right circuits and a Certificate of Compliance on record for insurance and lease purposes. Trading hours matter too: a lot of our CBD work happens before opening or after close, so it doesn't cost a business a day's takings.

Working in the CBD also means factoring in things a suburban job doesn't. Loading-zone access, coordinating with a landlord or centre manager for after-hours entry, and timing the work around trading hours so a switchboard upgrade doesn't cost a business a day's takings. With Todd Mall and the surrounding streets carrying decades of shopfront turnover, we regularly find a switchboard that's been added to by every tenant since without ever being properly reviewed as a whole. A common and fixable problem, not a sign anything was done badly at the time. Whatever stage your premises is at. A new fit-out, a board inherited from the last tenant, or just due for its first proper review. We work around your trading hours, not the other way round.
